Meet Gwen Child, LICSW

As a therapist, Gwen specializes in supporting young adults and couples as they navigate life’s transitions, relationships, and challenges. Her client-centered approach explores root causes while building practical coping skills for daily life. Using a trauma-informed lens, she integrates yoga-based mindfulness and somatic practices to support nervous system regulation and deeper healing. Psychodynamic and narrative therapy help us understand how your worldview was shaped and how it influences your present. She may also incorporate IFS based parts work to gently explore and understand the different parts of your inner experience.

With training in the Gottman Method, she helps couples strengthen communication, connection, and trust. Together you focus on deepening friendship while managing the practical demands of partnership. You’ll learn tools for healthy conflict resolution and collaboration, remembering you are on the same team.

Gwen is committed to creating a nonjudgmental, compassionate space where you feel safe and supported. She understands that beginning therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. She invites you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if you’re a good fit.
