Meet Skylar Jungers, LMHC Candidate

Skylar’s goal is to use empathy, humor, and openness to create a space where you feel safe to express yourself without judgment and ready to begin processing your experiences. She is passionate about helping children and youth learn how to cope with difficult emotions and situations, improve their relationships with others, and discover who they want to be. She meets clients where they are and incorporates their interests into sessions through art, music, or play. Skylar also enjoys working with young adults seeking to work through issues of anxiety, stress, family conflict, relationships, low self-esteem, and life transitions.

She uses a collaborative, person-centered approach, viewing you as the expert on your journey and offering support for your growth. She often incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles into her work. Additionally, Skylar specializes in working with athletes on performance issues such as confidence, focus, motivation, and overcoming injury to perform at their best. She also has experience providing solution-based therapy to help individuals achieve their goals within a specific timeframe.
