Meet Lily Haynes, LICSW
Has traditional talk therapy not quite worked for you? Lily offers a different approach. While talking things out can be valuable, Lily believes it shouldn’t be the only tool in the toolbox. Her goal is to help clients heal from what they’re struggling with, not just cope. This means guiding individuals to the root of their inner experiences and fostering a deeper connection to themselves, their lives, and others.
Lily most often works with adults in their 20s and 30s who struggle with experiences like anxious thoughts or body sensations, people pleasing, perfectionism, difficulties in relationships, feelings of depression, a judgmental/critical inner voice, trauma, processing childhood stuff, and working to develop a more positive sense of self. Lily also works with couples who want to work on communication, meeting each other’s needs, and more deeply understanding one another.
Sessions involve connecting to your emotions, understanding how your inner world developed, and helping you reconnect to your most grounded, authentic self. Trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) through the IFS Institute, she uses this as her primary approach. She also values the mind-body connection, incorporating somatic practices, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and values-based work. This work allows you to respond to your inner experiences, not just react from them.
As a relationally oriented therapist, she emphasizes collaboration, careful listening, encouragement, and humor. Believing that you are the expert of your own life, her role is to support the strengthening of your relationship with yourself.
